‘Is Mitt Minding The Store?’
Election 2012 piece by Aaron Goldstein (1/31/12)

Mitt Romney’s performance in last Thursday’s GOP debate in Jacksonville was widely praised for his assertiveness against Newt Gingrich and it may have effectively neutralized the former House Speaker’s victory five days earlier in South Carolina. If Romney earns a decisive victory in Florida, it could prove to be the turning point in winning the Republican nomination. But his debate performance should have instead raised a big red flag.

Correctly Framing the 2012 Elections
Election 2012 piece by Christopher G. Adamo (12/29/11)

As the nation lurches into the 2012 election season, the propagandists of the liberal media have gone into high gear. Their singular job is to prevent the American people from correctly assessing the precarious condition of their country, what needs to be done about it and, most dangerously of all, who among the major Republican contenders could best assume the helm of the nation’s government in order to implement a proper course of action.

Evidence, finally, of Democrat naivete
Useful Idiots piece by Gary Krasner (12/22/11)

Democrats created what they thought was a good wedge issue in foreign policy, and since about 2006 or so----after the Iraq war became sufficiently unpopular----they advanced it in the form of the mantra, “we must talk to our enemies.”

The Correct Answer
Foreign Policy piece by Gary Krasner (12/11/11)

The ABC News candidate’s debate has just concluded.  I will give the correct answer to one of the questions.

Topeka, Kansas, Unified School District 501 Places Sexual Deviancy on Its Curriculum
Edukshun piece by Paul A. Ibbetson (11/26/11)

What part should schools play in the personal development of our children? Most parents naturally expect teachers and administrative staff to assist their children in learning important skills like reading, writing, and arithmetic, but we now know a child’s development goes far beyond the basics at school. Upon closer inspection, most parents recognize that schools often teach children additional skills, such as how to interact with others, follow rules, think critically, and in many cases, develop career aspirations for what their Mom’s and Dad’s hope will be a bright and happy future. All this instruction is positive and benefits our children. However, there is more still that students will learn.

U.S. Troops Should Protect Iraqi Christians
General piece by Cliff Kincaid (3/20/08)

You don’t have to be a member of the far-left to question what has happened in Iraq since the U.S. invasion in 2003. During Holy Week, we should all consider the plight of Iraqi Christians and their possible extinction. This is something we can do something about. We should demand that the White House immediately order U.S. troops in Iraq to protect the remnants of the Christian community.

‘What’s in a Name?’
Elections piece by Lisa Fabrizio (3/20/08)

Round about this season of the year, a few friends of mine and I get together to solve some of the weightiest matters of our time; the winners of the NCAA Basketball Tournament. Now, I consider myself fairly knowledgeable in the field of college hoops, but despite my best and well-informed efforts, I often finish out of the money in March Madness pools. So, out of the many sheets of paper I will fill with bracketed scribble, at least one of them will be determined by the team nicknames.

More Leftist Indoctrination of Our School Children
Edukshun piece by Warner Todd Huston (3/20/08)

I have been saying for quite some time that we conservatives have failed in one major area: education. We have ceded the grounds of the education of our youth to those who despise everything that makes America great. Yet, here we all are blindly sending our children to people who will instill in them a hatred of everything that is American. And then, we get upset when the voters don’t go our way.

What We Have Is A Battle For Which Socialist Will Become President
Elections piece by Malcolm T. Hedges (3/19/08)

Comrade Hillary and Comrade Obama are just fighting about who will be the best Commissar (President) of The United Progressive Socialist States of America.  Senator McCain while pretending has exhibited his tilt toward Socialism and seems to be the lesser evil.

Another Liberal Tax Scheme - Soak the Middle-Class Investors
Congress piece by Paul M. Weyrich (3/19/08)

Congress currently is considering the Federal budget for Fiscal Year 2009, which begins October 1, 2008.  There are many problems with the proposed budget in both Houses of Congress, but one stands out more than the others.  The Democratic Leadership of the House of Representatives has proposed offsetting the Federal Government’s loss of revenue created by the one-year patch of the Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT) by raising taxes in other areas.  This should come as no surprise but it could have serious repercussions for the economy and for middle-class families already struggling to pay their bills and their taxes.

Kurt Vonnegut
General piece by Guest: Anthony Hogart (3/19/08)

In late March of last year, I was enjoying the beauty of Manueline architecture in Lisbon, Portugal, while writing an article on postmodern loneliness and the search for authentic community. I began the piece with a reference to the disconsolate loneliness apparent in Kurt Vonnegut, the celebrated American author. For example, when he visited the University of Washington in 1995, the campus newspaper reported, “In Vonnegut’s work, social emotions–feelings of guilt, embarrassment, loneliness, uselessness - are paramount.” I returned to the States from Portugal on Palm Sunday, and shortly after Easter, news broke of Vonnegut’s lamentable passing away. In death, as in life, Vonnegut both mirrored and influenced the wider culture.

Wright: Whites Infected Blacks with AIDS
Progressivism piece by Grant Swank (3/19/08)

Bill O’Reilly interviewed a PhD black professor following Barack Obama’s Tuesday speech.

Obama is simply guilty
Elections piece by Bruce Walker (3/19/08)

Obama is simply guilty.  That is the “problem” which pundits pretend to be talking about regarding his twenty years at Trinity United Church of Christ and his long held admiration for its pastor, Reverend Jeremiah Wright.  What Obama has done is commit a serious moral crime which disqualifies him for the presidency just as much as if he had been a member of the Communist Party or the Nazi Party or the Black Panthers.  There is no explanation and no excuse.

Congressional Guidelines for Abusing Women
  General piece by Guest: (3/19/08)

This report explores how the very same systems that are destroying families for profit are also victimizing the women who participate in it. It also exposes who profits from this system and why they oppose any effort to change what is happening. The guidelines and funding systems for all of this are created through Acts of Congress.

‘George Washington: Who Is That?’
Edukshun piece by Guest: Chuck Baldwin (3/19/08)

A recent USA Today report confirmed what most of us already knew: America has lost touch with its history. The story ran on February 26, 2008 and begins by saying, “Big Brother. McCarthyism. The patience of Job.

Google Government
Big Brother piece by GoldwaterInstitute: Starlee Rhoades (3/19/08)

Government transparency is key to limited government - It’s National Sunshine Week, whose goal—“a dialogue about the importance of open government and freedom of information”—is worth celebrating.

STDs-R-Us: The Remuneration for the Slutification of Our Nation
Progressivism piece by Doug Giles (3/19/08)

I was attempting to talk to one of my teenage daughters about sex the other day (God, I hate this part of parenting because no matter how cool you are as a dad, once you start talking about the ABCs of bumping uglies you immediately morph from being Steve McQueen to mirroring Steve Urkel). Anyway . . . as a good dad, I ponied up and I did-the very awkward-dew.

Last Thoughts on William F. Buckley, Jr., 1925 - 2008
General piece by Brian Wise (3/19/08)

At the time of this posting, William F. Buckley, Jr. has been dead for three weeks.  At first planning to write or say nothing to mark the occasion, I did finally begin taking notes and reflecting at significant length after two weeks, finally deciding a few days ago to string them all into a series of disjointed thoughts, in tribute to my literary hero.

Muslim Obama Caught in More LIES By NewsMax
Elections piece by Grant Swank (3/18/08)

There’s nothing like being in the church when Barack Obama is seated there. You witness the Senator, the preacher and congregation’s reactions to another prejudicial Muslim-like tirade called a “sermon.”

‘Is There Anybody Hanging Around That Could Be a ‘Real’ Candidate for President?’
Elections piece by Malcolm T. Hedges (3/17/08)

The Demercrats and Republicrats have produced three idiots that think because they are Senators they deserve/qualify to become President.

An Artful Approach to Revitalization
Big Brother piece by GoldwaterInstitute: Clint Bolick (3/17/08)

Freedom is the key to economic growth - The City of Phoenix decided a vibrant arts district would be a nifty idea to revitalize its downtown core. Too often, cities are tempted to achieve such a goal by taxpayer subsidies, eminent domain, tax hikes, or draconian zoning requirements. Instead, Phoenix decided to try a different approach --deregulation.

Bush’s Big Bank Bailout
Big Brother piece by Cliff Kincaid (3/17/08)

Both the Wall Street Journal and conservative economist Lawrence A. Kudlow are defending the Bush Administration’s big-government-socialist bailout of Bear Stearns. The taxpayers are bailing out a big bank while millions of Americans may be losing their homes in the financial meltdown. Where are the conservatives protesting this?

Taking a Toll on the People
Bird-Brain Flu piece by Selwyn Duke (3/17/08)

You’re driving north on the New Jersey Turnpike (I-95), heading toward the Big Apple. Cruising along, you pass exits 7, then 8, 9, 10 and 11, and everything is fine. Then you come to exit 12, and traffic starts to slow down; soon, it’s a New York bumper-to-bumper nightmare, the worst kind. Creeping along like an inchworm missing a few millimeters, you know that traffic will abate just down the road, just a few miles – and an hour and a half – away.

‘Are we now seeing the Real Obama?’
Elections piece by Sher Zieve (3/17/08)

For months Democrat Senator and now presidential nominee-hopeful Barack Hussein Obama has presented himself as the ‘inspirational’ candidate of ‘change’ who would ‘heal the divisiveness in the nation’.  However, instead of providing change or healing the nations’ disunity, Obama brings us - via his spiritual mentor whom he has unabashedly praised - old fashioned racism, race-baiting and their subsequent products discord, strife and an even greater call for dissension and conflict.

Contrary to Claims, Obama Very Close With Racist Preacher, Wright
Elections piece by Warner Todd Huston (3/17/08)

Many in the newsmedia are reacting with quite restraint to the revelations of comments by Obam’s racist “spiritual mentor,” Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Jr. Imagine if this were a Republican politician linked to such outrageous talk and you’ll realize how the MSM has been studiously underplaying this controversy. A benefit of the doubt seems to be the rule of thumb for how the media is treating Obama, a benefit that would be denied a GOP candidate.

Obama Lies. Show Me Wright’s LOVE Sermon Videos
Elections piece by Grant Swank (3/17/08)

Where are videos showing Jeremiah Wright’s sermons on love, kindness, and Christlikeness?

The Barack Obama Double Standard
Elections piece by Doug Patton (3/17/08)

Imagine in 1999, that a videotape had come to light showing the pastor of Texas Gov. George W. Bush’s church making vicious, hateful comments about America and cruel, racist statements about Americans of color.

Biofuels Forcing World To Ration Food Aid
GreeenIsm piece by Guest: Dennis T. and Alex A. Avery (3/17/08)

The World Food Program is preparing to ration food aid for the world’s hungriest poor.  Why?  Primarily because we’re burning food in our automobiles.  The rich-country mandates for biofuels have doubled and tripled world food prices in less than three years.

Why I wouldn’t vote for Obama
  Elections piece by OffSite (3/17/08)

My post Obama will win the nomination but lose the election got a lot of attention and caused quite a stir. It informed about his views on Israel, his church and its connection to SABEEL and Farrakhan, his pastor, his statements in his book and his association with the Palestinian cause and much more.

Dumping Pastors to Get Elected - Theology America Does Not Understand
Elections piece by Michael Bresciani (3/17/08)

Bible schools and seminaries may have to teach freshmen the difference
between liberal and conservative theology but there is little hope of
getting the average American to understand the difference.

In Defense of this Western Man
  Immigration piece by OffSite (3/16/08)

I have long been the target of the Southern Poverty Law Center and other left-wing organizations such as the Anti-Defamation League. I am not alone. Most recently the SPLC has taken aim at the largest immigration reform group, the Federation for American Immigration Reform, or FAIR.

FedEx-cess: Inviting In the Big, Bad Government Wolf
General piece by Chuck Muth (3/16/08)

We all know a few bad apples can spoil the whole barrel.  And never is this saying truer than when it comes to a rogue company or industry abusing its privileges, thereby inviting the government to stick its nose even further into the business of business.  Think Enron, and the resulting compliance nightmare known as Sarbanes-Oxley.  Or just ponder the red-tape regulation-palooza headed the mortgage industry’s way this year.

Chillin’
GreeenIsm piece by Geoff Metcalf (3/16/08)

“Hypocrisy is the essence of snobbery, but all snobbery is about the problem of belonging.” --Alexander Theroux

‘Why Is Everyone Lying About Energy?’
GreeenIsm piece by Alan Caruba (3/16/08)

In early March, President Bush, addressing an International Renewable Energy Conference, was widely quoted saying that the United States has to “get off oil.” Earlier he had said that America was “addicted” to oil. These are such huge lies one wonders why he is telling them, unless perhaps he has quietly been investing in ethanol production.

Obama‘s Wright More Trouble than McCain’s Hagee
Elections piece by Warner Todd Huston (3/15/08)

As you should know by now, Democratic Presidential hopeful Barack Obama has a Wright problem. That would be a Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr. problem. It turns out that Barack Obama’s “spiritual mentor” has a long, long history of hatred against whites and the history of the U.S.A.(1) But, late last week, news began to surface that one of John McCain’s religious supporters, John Hagee, has made many harsh anti-Catholic statements(2) in the past.
