‘Is Mitt Minding The Store?’
Election 2012 piece by Aaron Goldstein
(1/31/12)
Mitt Romney’s performance in last Thursday’s GOP debate in Jacksonville was widely praised for his assertiveness against Newt Gingrich and it may have effectively neutralized the former House Speaker’s victory five days earlier in South Carolina. If Romney earns a decisive victory in Florida, it could prove to be the turning point in winning the Republican nomination. But his debate performance should have instead raised a big red flag.

Correctly Framing the 2012 Elections
Election 2012 piece by Christopher G. Adamo
(12/29/11)
As the nation lurches into the 2012 election season, the propagandists of the liberal media have gone into high gear. Their singular job is to prevent the American people from correctly assessing the precarious condition of their country, what needs to be done about it and, most dangerously of all, who among the major Republican contenders could best assume the helm of the nation’s government in order to implement a proper course of action.

Evidence, finally, of Democrat naivete
Useful Idiots piece by Gary Krasner
(12/22/11)
Democrats created what they thought was a good wedge issue in foreign policy, and since about 2006 or so----after the Iraq war became sufficiently unpopular----they advanced it in the form of the mantra, “we must talk to our enemies.”

The Correct Answer
Foreign Policy piece by Gary Krasner
(12/11/11)
The ABC News candidate’s debate has just concluded. I will give the correct answer to one of the questions.

Topeka, Kansas, Unified School District 501 Places Sexual Deviancy on Its Curriculum
Edukshun piece by Paul A. Ibbetson
(11/26/11)
What part should schools play in the personal development of our children? Most parents naturally expect teachers and administrative staff to assist their children in learning important skills like reading, writing, and arithmetic, but we now know a child’s development goes far beyond the basics at school. Upon closer inspection, most parents recognize that schools often teach children additional skills, such as how to interact with others, follow rules, think critically, and in many cases, develop career aspirations for what their Mom’s and Dad’s hope will be a bright and happy future. All this instruction is positive and benefits our children. However, there is more still that students will learn.

Jordan’s Moderate Arab Spring
Middle East piece by Guest:
Wright and Korpi (11/19/11)
As we sat in a Parliamentary conference room, talking with Jordan’s Senate president and his colleagues, we could see why Jordan’s Arab Spring has been more subdued than most.

When an ‘Occupy’ tantrum gets a little old
Nanny State piece by OffSite
(11/18/11)
When you’re bored, broke and mad at everybody, including Mom, throwing a tantrum is fun. Three-year-olds entertain their mommies with such noisy fits all the time. When regiments of tantrum-throwers get loose on Wall Street, they make the front page.

If Obama Loses
Election 2012 piece by Aaron Goldstein
(11/9/11)
It is now less than a year before Americans will go to the polls and decide if they want to keep Barack Obama in the White House for another four years. Despite the absence of a primary challenger, with a national debt nearing $15 trillion, an unemployment rate consistently in the 9% range and at least three-quarters of Americans who believe the country is going in the wrong direction to show for his efforts to stimulate the economy; no incumbent President has been so vulnerable since Herbert Hoover. ‘A 2012 World View: What is the End Game?’
Election 2012 piece by OffSite
(11/5/11)
Having a world view and understanding how that perception influences our choices is important to knowing ourselves, being able to take or defend a position, and set goals and work to meet them. Sharing perspective helps us to understand and communicate with those who do not share the same belief systems but allows us to get along if we can find some commonalities or on what we can agree to disagree. When people holding a world view do not have the awareness to understand why they hold their position or are unable to comprehend that different experiences allow for a different outlook, this is when conflict can occur. This holds relevance for the 2012 election cycle.

Law piece by OffSite
(11/2/11)
(VegasInc) - Las Vegas copyright infringement lawsuit filer Righthaven LLC’s financial problems grew Tuesday when the federal court in Las Vegas commanded the U.S. Marshals Service to seize more than $63,000 in Righthaven assets to satisfy a creditor’s judgment and costs.

Killing Energy, Killing Jobs, Killing America
Energy piece by Alan Caruba
(10/30/11)
America has been under attack since Barack Obama took the oath of office on January 20, 2009. The primary target has been the nation’s ability to generate energy for electricity and transportation, without which this nation will slide into Third World status and economic decline.

‘Should Saddam Have Stayed in Power?’
Middle East piece by Aaron Goldstein
(10/25/11)
I have given a great deal of thought to the War in Iraq since President Obama announced that all American troops would be withdrawn at the end of this year after he failed to obtain an extension to the 2008 Status of Forces Agreement signed by former President George W. Bush and Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki. I found myself asking a question I thought I would never pose.

‘From 9-9-9 To ?-?-?’
Taxes piece by J.J. Jackson
(10/22/11)
Herman Cain’s 9-9-9 plan is still receiving a lot of scrutiny. That scrutiny comes from people who either do not understand how to do simple math, who have nothing better to offer or who just want to maintain the status quo. Recently I warned in a posting on my personal website that Herman Cain should ditch the 9-9-9 plan. But, for the benefit of those who have not read that particular post, that warning was not because it did not work. Because anyone with a calculator, basic math knowledge and the wherewithal to get on the internet and look up the figures to multiply by 9% (consumption of goods, investments, corporate incomes and personal incomes, etc.) can prove to themselves that it does. No, rather I warned him against the plan because it was even easier to demagogue by political hacks than the much better plan, which he also supports, the FairTax.

The Second Time Since Harvard Obama’s Ridden a Bus
Election 2012 piece by Guest:
Michael R. Shannon (10/21/11)
This week Obama is once again firing up his Canadian–built Magical Mystery Bus and driving through North Carolina and Virginia as his re–election campaign begins on the taxpayer dime. Somehow the symbolism of Obama back in the bus is supposed to inspire Congress to pass his contemptible “jobs bill” and at the same time convince the rubes that Obama has the common touch.

What America Needs From The 2012 Elections
Election 2012 piece by Christopher G. Adamo
(10/20/11)
Assessing the sum total of the latest news, one is left wondering whether to laugh or be seriously alarmed. Those pathetic bands of shiftless loiterers on Wall Street and in prominent locations across the nation, while hardly overwhelming in number, nonetheless represent the latest iteration of the Obama/Alinsky “community organizing” antics. But despite the liberal media relentlessly trumpeting the far-left agenda and supposed strength of the Wall Street itinerants, few Americans are overly impressed with them or interested in listening to their loony advocacy of undiluted collectivism.

Palestine - Abbas Gets Lost In The Translation
Middle East piece by Guest:
David Singer (10/19/11)
PLO Chairman Mahmoud Abbas has been often criticized for making statements in English that are contradicted by other statements made by him in Arabic. Abbas has continued this art of doublespeak first perfected by his predecessor Yasser Arafat - tailoring his views to the audience that he is addressing.

Surviving The Republican Establishment
Republicrats piece by OffSite
(10/18/11)
There are at least two conflicting views of the Occupy Wall Street mob. One is that the media are overplaying the protests and that they are much ado about nothing. The idea is that the protesters are primarily a bunch of idealistic kids living out their fantasies of the turn-on, tune-in, drop-out crowd of the 1960s.

‘Government persecution does target homeschoolers’
Social Engineering piece by OffSite
(10/16/11)
The battle lines over homeschooling rights overseas and in the United States have been sharpened by the publication of a law journal article that concludes that Germany does persecute homeschoolers and that the first waves of its impact already have hit the U.S.

The Coming Contraction
Progressivism piece by Robert R. Owens
(10/15/11)
The party’s over and it’s time to pay the bill. Our government has been on a spending binge for as long as I can remember. With Clinton and Newt’s slight-of-hand accounting back in the late 90s notwithstanding, which wouldn’t withstand the level of scrutiny we give a tab at our local burger joint, there have been yearly deficits every year since I was born back in the 40s. The debt(1) piled up to a record amount under Bush the Younger, and under Obama it has sky rocketed to the point where people have actually begun to notice that the emperor has no clothes.

‘Can Liberals Devise A New “Grassroots” Phenomenon?’
Progressivism piece by Christopher G. Adamo
(10/13/11)
On August 1, 1988, several dozen radio stations across America began broadcasting a revolutionary radio program in which a single individual, with no guests, delivered a veritable monologue of observations on the state of the nation and its culture. In only a few short years, that handful of local radio affiliates grew to over six hundred, with the total audience easily topping twenty million. Thus had Rush Limbaugh and his “Excellence In Broadcasting” network, stormed the national stage.

‘Will the Obama Syndicate Ever be Held Responsible for its Crimes?’
ObamaNation piece by Sher Zieve
(10/12/11)
With the exception of Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA), no one from the GOP side of the aisle seems to really care about the crimes that have been and continue to be committed by Obama and his syndicate. Instead, Congress--itself--has established its own unconstitutional “Super Congress” of twelve which essentially does away with representation of WE-the-People. Does anyone still remember “taxation without representation” that sparked the first “Tea Party?” In this way, Congress is either joining the Obama dictatorship or has formed its own totalitarian challenge to it. Either way, both Obama and the US Congress have now established their own versions of anti-Republic government. Like all petulant and/or undisciplined children, they will continue unless we--the adults--stop them. The Obama syndicate crimes, however, are escalating at a frightening pace.

‘Progressives’ and the Art of Civility
Progressivism piece by Tom DeWeese
(10/11/11)
When concerned Americans objected to Obama’s health care scheme and turned out at town hall meetings in strong opposition, they were called racists and fringe radicals. The Department of Homeland Security then released a report calling those Americans who opposed Obama’s policies “potential domestic terrorist.” As more and more Americans took up the protests against an ever growing federal government, the “Progressives” took to the CNN/MSNBC/New York Times media cabal to accuse the growing Tea Party of violence and then called for “civility” in political debate. That of course meant NO DEBATE. Its got to be their way or … as Teamster leader James Hoffa put it… ”Let’s take these sons of bitches out.”

The Black US Attorney Has Common Cause with the Black Criminal
Crime piece by Selwyn Duke
(10/9/11)
According to Department of Justice whistleblower J. Christian Adams, AG Eric Holder has a certain something in his wallet. It is a quotation - and he has carried it for decades. It essentially says, to quote(1) Adams, “Blackness is more important than anything, and the black US attorney has common cause with the black criminal.” It’s not surprising that Holder would feel this way about black lawyers and criminals.

Hey Kids - Let’s Meet on Wall St. for Weeks Long Whining Fest
Mobs/Riots piece by Michael Bresciani
(10/8/11)
Headlines are heralding Apple’s, Steve Jobs as someone who impacted and changed our lives. At the same time demonstrations and riots in Chile(1), South Korea and America make it apparent that the change had nothing to do with the development of character or the ability to discern the nature of economics, politics and honesty.

An Ominous Setup For The 2012 Elections
Election 2012 piece by Christopher G. Adamo
(10/6/11)
It is altogether unfortunate that Herman Cain opted to play the race card in his quest for the Republican presidential nomination. In an interview on ABC, Cain derided Texas Governor Rick Perry over the supposed presence of a racial epithet on a rock at a piece of property once leased by the Perry family. But as the facts of the story unfold, it increasingly appears that Cain simply could not resist (or more accurately, was lured into) an unwarranted attack on Perry over what amounted to little more than some graffiti, painted on a rock, that was covered over years ago.

‘Is Wall Street “Occupation” A Communist Rally?’
Progressivism piece by Guest:
Austin Miles (10/2/11)
A sit-in called, “Occupy Wall Street,” that purportedly is calling attention to corporate greed, excessive government spending and selfishness, is demanding a change in the way the U.S. is doing things and how the resulting poverty must be eliminated. It is an effort to essentially stir things up and even things out. The protest, that is in its second week, seems to have taken a cue from Greece and, yes, Egypt.

“Why do Women always….?”: Generalizations and the Building Blocks of Reality
Society piece by Selwyn Duke
(10/1/11)
Recently I wrote an article(1) about women’s tendency to support statist candidates. As my emails attest, it was met with quite a positive response. Yet, not surprisingly, there was also a very predictable one: complaints about generalizations. For instance, one respondent wrote that she was tired of the “all men are this and all women are that” tripe.

Understanding change we can believe in - Obama Doctrine for Dummies
ObamaNation piece by Michael Bresciani
(9/30/11)
Americans have been waltzing down the path to ‘change we can believe in’ for nearly three years now but it is obvious that not everyone is getting it yet. Here is all you need to know about Obamachange that will get you speaking ‘Obamanese’ in the very shortest amount of time.

Palestine - UN Farce Promises Theater Of The Absurd
United Nations piece by Guest:
David Singer (9/25/11)
The appearance of Mahmoud Abbas at the podium of the United Nations General Assembly on 23 September was reportedly met with “rapturous applause”(1) by those present to witness this latest farce in the ongoing efforts to create a new Arab State between Israel and Jordan for the first time ever in recorded history.

Democrat Challenge to Obama from Right
Election 2012 piece by Bruce Walker
(9/23/11)
Steve Chapman at the Chicago Tribune(1), Obama’s hometown newspaper, has said that Obama should not seek reelection. Two recent congressional losses just accent that notion. Naturally, all talk has been of Hillary or someone ideologically similar to Hillary challenging Obama. A recent Gallup poll shows that 23% of all Democrats(2) call themselves “conservative,” 39% call themselves “moderates,” and one percent do not know. Only 38% of Democrats described themselves as “liberal” or “very liberal.”

A “Safe” and “Legal” Procedure That’s Always Fatal
Abortion piece by Guest:
Michael R. Shannon (9/22/11)
Here we go again, a bunch of fanatics disrupt a public hearing screaming “safe” and “legal” in an obvious effort to block sensible, long overdue regulations that protect health and are supported by a majority of the public.
Palestine - Telling The UN Some Home Truths
United Nations piece by Guest:
David Singer (9/22/11)
Israel’s Prime Minister - Benjamin Netanyahu - has announced his intention to address the United Nations General Assembly in New York this week in connection with the proposed application by the PLO for recognition of a Palestinian Arab State along the 1949 armistice lines.
The Rick Perry/Mitt Romney Political ‘Horserace’
Election 2012 piece by Christopher G. Adamo
(9/22/11)
It would be a mistake to believe that the “mainstream” media and press are only interested in boosting ratings as they play up the contest between Texas Governor Rick Perry and former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney in their quest for the Republican presidential nomination. While increased viewership is a definite “plus,” their ultimate concern is the re-election of Barack Obama. And they have made it abundantly clear that Romney would be their preferred candidate in a general election race.

Judenrein Judea Equals Arabrein Israel…
Middle East piece by Gerald A. Honigman
(9/20/11)
No more Mr. Nice Guy… - Hear that--especially you let’s out Christian the Christians Lefty Hebrews who insist on turning a gadzillion cheeks after cheeks after cheeks while Arabs continue to target your babes and other innocents non-stop? It gets you nowhere--except laughed at and frequently dead. And, for the most part, the rest of the world couldn’t care less; indeed, much of the rest world has indulged in similar--if not worse--behavior towards Jews itself.
